What to include with a measurement question
The more exact your numbers, the more useful our answer. Please share:
- Rise height in inches: measured straight up from the lower floor or ground to the top edge of the threshold, sill, track or curb.
- Doorway width: the usable width measured inside the door jamb, jamb to jamb. For a curb, the width you need the ramp to cover.
- Threshold type: standard door sill, raised aluminum sliding door track, tile or flooring transition, rolled concrete curb, or vertical curb.
- What will roll over it: manual wheelchair, power chair or scooter, walker, robot vacuum, hand truck, low-clearance car, or RV.
- A photo, if you can: one shot of the threshold with a tape measure held against it helps a lot.
Product feedback
If you bought a ramp from one of our guides, tell us how it fits: whether the listed rise and width matched your doorway, how it handles daily use, and anything you wish you had known before ordering. Real-world feedback like this helps us keep our guides accurate.
